AM Systems.
Regional coverage high power AM stations are
complex installations. We'll check the terrain,
and complete a full radio interference sweep
test to confirm the location and calculate the
right tower size and power amplifiers, with the
right directionality for your target audience.
Couple this with our live broadcast studio
designs, installation experience with automation
systems like ENCO and our on-site project
management teams, we can get you
broadcasting.

design
Radio studios need to make voices
sound clear, full and rounded. Acoustic
treatment can help and is easy and
economic to apply, but good design
really works. Some studios become the
hub of the on-air transmission with full
control of the automation and sound
source switching-perfect for low staff
levels. Other studios for guests or
debates require a full sound gallery

Solutions for Broadcast Radio
.With FM systems, the antenna height affects the
maximum range of the transmitted signal or 'the
radio horizon.' Generally, the higher the
antennae, the farther the absolute range can
transmit.
The power of the signal, -the amplifier power
output multiplied by the antenna gain- affects
the signal strength within that horizon.
In urban or mountainous areas, signal shaping
may be needed to overcome inter-modulation
problems or 'null' areas. Signal focusing
techniques can be applied by using the different
patterns from various types of
antennae designs, or using repeater stations. In
open areas, OMNI patterns are generally
preferred, as they give larger coverage,
assuming that the tower is in the middle of the
required target area.
