Cabling
for Broadcast
Copper cable can be used for all three Hi-Def
specifications, although the distances of the
run roll off fairly quickly with the higher data
rates.
For 1080 interlaced, data rates of around 1.5giga/b's
using type-1694A cable will run
to approx 120m, but for 1080 Progressive
with data rates of upto 3giga/b's this falls to
only about
70m.
Longer runs will require fibre connections to
preserve the data
