Solutions
for TV
Shooting in Hi def is the logical choice as more and more services move to this system requiring content and mastering in this format. What HD spec to chose though depends on the subject you are filming. Documentaries or studio based material can really benefit from the HD 1080/24fps progressive format, giving rich detail and real vibrancy. Sports or action though may benefit from the 1080i format with it's smoother 50/60fps frame rate. Both are a significant improvement on familiar SD based formats, but beware of excessive compression as this can affect the subjective quality of the images.
